I am a Associate Professor (Senior Research Fellow) in Computational Geosciences in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Oxford. My research interests touch many aspects of the properties and behaviour of Earth materials with a focus on computational modelling and simulation at scales from the atomic to the whole Earth. I'm currently working on deformation processes operating in the mantle and the origin of the inner core. Details of this and other aspects of my research can be found on the projects page. These web pages also host my list of publications, information about my software, including the FoX library and MSAT toolkit, and material for my Python course for PhD students.
